Stop Talking and Start Moving!

Talking about goals, can we achieve them without willpower?
The answer is no.
You may make the difficulties of your goals as easy as you can, so you might think you don’t need willpower. We will always need willpower, even if it’s only a little bit.
When we want to plan to achieve our own goals or remove our bad habits, we actually need willpower. We can’t live without it.
So, if you’re whining that you don’t have any willpower or commitment, the problem is actually you. You can’t rely on magical power to help you deal with your cravings and the process.
Even the most “perfect plan” will need willpower to be successful.

Procrastinate
Don’t be childish by procrastinating yourself to plan for the future and not taking any action.
The more you talk, the more you will fail.
Not because talking is not allowed, but because you will feel a kind of reward every time you talk about it. You feel like you have accomplished it.
Then, by the time you are trying to pursue it, you will start to feel demotivated and then relapse. It’s the mastermind of the bad habits that make you fail.
What you can do is actually start moving, even though you know that you will fail in the future. You might think that you will fail in the future, but we will never know what the future will be.
Maybe you will succeed, and maybe you won’t. We will all experience that. The same is true when you want to pursue business or a career. Business and career won’t give you an exact answer to where you will end up in the future. They will give you uncertainty about what the future will be.

Even so, do we not take the opportunity to pursue business and careers?
Of course not.
You will need to face the burden, the sacrifices and the disappointment about what it will be in the future. You can’t rely on your “perfect plan” to sacrifice any action. There are no perfect plan.
The only choice that you have is to start taking the first step. The only perfect plan that you have is start to take action. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how much you’re going to pursue. At least you’re taking action to pursue those goals.
When you are about to take action, don’t worry about what you need to say to other people. You don’t need to talk about all the plans you are going to pursue. I know that your goals and your plan will be perfect, and other people

should do it too. Even so, you need to show them first with your own actions toward achieving the plan. Then you can talk about it to help other people.
A plan could be a procrastination tool because you might start to be more afraid of what will come next. You started to worry whether the plan you had made was perfect or not.
You may not tolerate mistakes because of the perfect plan that you have made. So, rather than thinking about what the future will do with your plan, start taking action with your own plan.
Talking about your plan could affect your success rate. Just like Ryan Holiday says in his book “Ego Is The Enemy”,
“The only relationship between work and chatter is that one kills the other.”
You can apply the principle every time you want to talk about your plans, your goals, or when you want to take action. Sometimes people don’t want to hear it.
They might listen to you, but at the back, we never know that they are trying to drag us down. On the other hand, people might respect and support you. We never know.

Motivation from within
Rather than relying on someone else’s support, you better start taking action and showing them your own results.
It’s so fun when you are taking action and then people don’t know what you are up to. They will rather ignore you, or they may want to know what you’re up to. At that time, you may tell them a little bit about your plan, or you may just give them a joke about what you’re really up to.
Their answers about what plan you gave them are out of your control. It’s better to just focus on what you can control. The more you focus on what you can control, the more you will feel confident about success. You may increase the percentage of your success. Even so, you can’t really just focus on the result.
Aim high, but focus on the process. Goals are great, and dreaming about what you want to achieve is beautiful. At the end, the one that will be your greatest memory is your process. The sacrifice and burden that you have been through will be your greatest memories in the future.
Conclusion
In conclusion, you will need willpower and plans about what you want to achieve in the future. The future is not in our hands. We can’t control what will happen in the future, but we can control what we can control, and that is the process.
